Our Story

Mobility for Every Malaysian

BKRRM (Bantuan Kerusi Roda Rakyat Malaysia) was founded with one simple belief: no Malaysian should be denied mobility due to financial hardship. Every person deserves the freedom to move, to participate in society, and to live with dignity.

We work transparently, distributing donated wheelchairs directly to verified B40 and OKU recipients across all states in Malaysia — at absolutely no cost to the recipient.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to apply for a wheelchair?

Malaysian citizens who are B40 households (income ≤ RM4,850/month for Peninsular), have disability or mobility issues and possess a doctor support letter. JKM OKU cardholders get priority.

How long does the application process take?

Usually 14 working days for review and verification. After approval, wheelchair will be delivered in 7-14 days.

Is there any fee?

100% FREE. No application fee, no delivery charge, no hidden costs.

What types of wheelchairs are provided?

We provide Standard, Reclining, Tilt-in-Space, Pediatric, and Bariatric wheelchairs depending on your medical needs.

How do I know my application is received?

You will receive a confirmation email with reference number (BKRRM-2026-XXXXX) after submitting the form. You can check status using this reference number on our website.

Can I donate a used wheelchair?

Yes! We accept used wheelchairs in good condition. Please contact us at urusetia@rakyatmalaysia.org for donation arrangements.

Is tax receipt provided for donations?

Yes. Donors will receive an automatic receipt after donation. Official tax receipt (Section 44) will be issued for donations RM100 and above.

Where will the wheelchair be delivered?

Directly to your doorstep anywhere in Malaysia. No delivery charges.
